David Harold Hutcherson, 63, of Bronson, FL passed at his home on January 3, 2019. David was born in Memphis TN at the US Naval Hospital and moved to the Bronson, FL area in the early 80’s. David was a loving, giving, caring person who thought of others before himself. He loved his family and friends dearly, often hosting get togethers. He spent his lifetime in industrial settings building bridges, working in the nuclear industry and then settling down to drive for Levy Transit for 10 years. He was known in the community for his volunteer hours with Tri-County Toys for Tots and The Wild Hog Canoe Race for LARC. He was instrumental in fundraising for the building of AmVets Post 88. He also assisted with projects for the American Legion Post 236. David loved his fellow veterans and would assist wherever he could. He enjoyed having his wife of 29 years by his side as he worked and traveled. They explored the United States from the East Coast to the West Coast and called it their “working retirement”. He leaves behind his wife Katie, Stepson Jonathan Hamilton, Stepdaughter Katie Jean Trimm, both of Bronson FL, five granddaughters Stephanie, Sara, Allie, Jolene, Lorelei and one grandson Harley. He was preceded in death by Ollie Frances Scott Houghtaling, mother, Curtis Scott Hutcherson, Tommy Hutcherson, both brothers, and Harold D. Hutcherson, father.
