Dora Louise Searle, age 76, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of August 3, 2026.

Born on April 11, 1950, in Alva, Oklahoma, Dora lived a life marked by strength, compassion, and an unwavering spirit. She faced life's joys and challenges with courage and determination, inspiring those around her through her resilience and generous heart.

Dora was known for her kind heart, outgoing personality, radiant soul, and her stubbornness. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Whether she was sharing a conversation, offering a helping hand, or simply brightening someone's day with her smile, Dora left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her warmth and genuine care for others created lifelong friendships and treasured memories that will endure for generations.

Above all, Dora cherished the people she loved. She found joy in spending time with family and friends, celebrating life's simple moments, and creating lasting memories with those closest to her. Her love, encouragement, and unwavering support were gifts she gave freely, and they will continue to be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Dora was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Warren Searle and Juanita Grace Williams Searle; and by her two brothers, Howard Eugene Searle and Harold Dean Searle.

She is survived by her siblings, Walter Clarence (Sherry) Searle, Darold Robert Searle, Rachel "Hope" Faye Searle Bayles all of Brooksville, Florida, and Warron Dale (Carol) Searle of

Grand Island, Nebraska.

She is also survived by her beloved daughters, Kimberly Kay Roark McKinney of Gainesville, Florida, and Jacqueline "Jackie" Ann Roark Brough of Clarksville, Tennessee.

Dora was a proud grandmother (a/k/a "gramcracker" as a given name by Hailee Elizabeth Brough Peterson): to Amanda Lara Makinen of Vacaville, California; Kaila Juanita Louise Willess, Joseph Scott Basse-Roark, Emma Rose Roark, and Samantha Mae Brough all of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Ashley Megan Basse Roark Davis and Hailee Elizabeth Brough (Dylen) Peterson all of Clarksville, Tennessee; and Malieghia Willess of Florida.

She was also blessed with great-grandchildren whom she adored: Frances Lara of Vacaville, California; Madison Mariee Rose Willess, Nathaniel James Wertz, Aurora Lilianna Roark, and Jamie Ann Grace Roark of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Annalynn Rae Peterson and Lucas Ethan Samual Kennington of Clarksville, Tennessee; and Cavin Smith of Florida.

In addition to her immediate family, Dora leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends, all of whom will cherish her memory and the love she shared throughout her life.

Her family finds comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and in the lasting impact she made on the lives of others. Dora's beautiful spirit will never be forgotten, and her memory will forever be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Dora's life will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2026, 3:00 p.m. at Hidden Oaks Club House, 100 Castle Drive, Gainesville, Florida 32607.
