Born on September 14, 1953, in Dunkirk, New York, Emelie was the daughter of Cornelius Labeur and Elizabeth "Betty" Peterson Labeur.
Emelie was fondly known for her work as the admissions coordinator with the University of Florida's Agricultural Sciences admissions team. Through her dedication and years of service, she became a cherished part of the university community.
