I have not seen George in many years but he was a good friend and we had some fine adventures long ago. A group of us was once on a long motorcycle trip from Warsaw to Virginia Beach. Two events on that trip will stay with me all my life. First, we were following a van on 495 around Washington. Traffic was heavy, and moving slow. The front passenger in the van had her feet sticking out the window. George rode up alongside and tickled her feet. Initial anger on her part turned to a slow speed shared laugh and conversation. George could have that affect on people. Second, a small bar in Thurmont MD on the way home. As ‘Yankees’, we weren’t really welcomed when we walked in, until George bought a round for the bar. A great evening with new friends followed. Rest in Peace, George.
Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. May your hearts find peace and comfort at this difficult time from the God of all comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4
