Jess Leonard Fuentes

Jess Leonard Fuentes of Melbourne, Florida, passed away on November 1, 2026, at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.

Jess was born on June 16, 1963, in Tulare, California, to Jess Joe Fuentes and Lupe Aguilar Fuentes. Following high school, he pursued an associate degree in criminal justice and went on to attend the police academy. He dedicated his professional life to public service and proudly served as a police officer with the California Department of Corrections before retiring.

Jess will be lovingly remembered by his beloved spouse, Deborah Ann Fuentes, along with many other family members and friends who will continue to cherish his memory. His life, service, and the memories he shared with those he loved will remain close to the hearts of all who knew him.
