Lynn Norris Pfeiffer passed away at home in Belleview, Florida, on July 10, 2016, at age 62, after a long illness. She was born on December 24, 1953, to Mary Lou Norris and John B. Lynn was proud and honored to be Choir Director and Organist at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Belleview, Florida. She also supported many church activities including Cursillo and Daughters of the King.
Lynn married John Christopher Pfeiffer on October 2, 1976, and is survived by him and their loving family. They have two sons, Christopher N. Pfeiffer (Largo, Florida), his wife and four children; and John B. Pfeiffer (Clearwater, Florida), his wife and two children. She is also survived by her mother, Mary Lou Norris (Belleview, Florida), her brother Barry Norris (Wilmington, North Carolina) and his wife and children, her sister Laurie Coccio (Saratoga Springs, New York) and her husband and children, as well as an extended family of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lynn enjoyed cooking meals for her family and for Church functions. Her Lemon Squares were enjoyed by all at Daughter of the King Events. Not just cooking, she also enjoyed playing Disc Golf with her sons and husband. She also looked forward to putting jig saw puzzles together with her mother. She loved gardening, keeping her mother’s flower garden looking immaculate.
So sorry to hear of Lynn’s passing . I was shocked to hear it and am sorry she was ill for such a long time. I remember her as a top student at Sweet Briar. We recently lost our other top scholar , Sue Best.
I am the president of our class of 1975 and will let all classmates know that Lynn is gone . May she rest in peace .
Sincerely , Dorsey Tillett Northrup
