Marge Fangman 97, of The Villages, FL, formerly Waterloo, Iowa, died peacefully on Thursday evening, November 1st, 2018 at Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages, FL.
Marge had a sense of humor that kept everyone on their toes and fashion sense that kept the compliments rolling in. She was a “do-er”; she believed in hard work and getting things done. And boy did she love her violets. Violets were her passion above all things.
On February 23, 1921 she was born to Melvin and Agness Mundell in Ottumwa, Iowa. Upon the early death of her mother when Marge was only three, she came to be raised by her grandmother, Mary Cline, and her Aunt, Mable Cline, in their boarding house in Ottumwa, Iowa. This is where she learned her outstanding cooking and baking skills. She knew hard work all too well, but she danced her way through it. And good she was.
October 20, 1951, she married the love of her life, Keith Fangman in Waterloo, Iowa. And even though he didn’t dance, she loved him anyway for 53 years until his passing. Marge loved her family and friends and would give the shirt off of her back if you asked her. She radiated love. She never knew anything else. And she will easily be remembered by her bright smile and happy personality. She reluctantly left behind her two daughters Linda (Larry) Hartle of The Villages, FL, Renee (Tim) Moore of Des Moines, Iowa, five grand children, Stacey, Casey, Brittney, Amber, and Austin, and two great grand children, Ryan and Connor.
We are happy to lift this woman up to Jesus and we will remember her loving soul forever. Marge’s wishes were to be cremated. Memorials may be directed to Cornerstone Hospice at 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162 to support them and their mission of loving care and comfort or the Hospice House of your choice.
