Robert Lee Mantzoros Jr. of Ocala FL passed away peacefully on Saturday May 2, 2015 at the age of 62. He was born in Chincoteague, VA and was a resident of Ocala for most of his life although his travels took him to various locations around the globe as he loved to travel especially to the western United States. He served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam War Veteran.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert Lee Mantzoros Sr. of Livermore California and his mother, Sadie Thomas of Ocala Florida. Robert is survived by his two daughters, Jessica and Sabrina, and his son Damian. He is also survived by his three siblings Jason, Connie, and Debbie, eight nieces and nephews, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by countless friends and associates.
Robert spent his life in the construction and nursery business. He had quite a fondness for cacti and succulents which earned him the nickname “Cactus Bob”. He was a devoted father that loved his children to no end and a great friend to many in his lifetime. He was a selfless man that always looked out for others, without thought or concern for his own time and needs.
He will be missed tremendously by many that he has touched in his life.
