Rosa Carlino, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, surrounded by love. She was 81 years old.
Rosa was born on September 4, 1944, in Sicily, Italy to Carmelo and Carmela Panvino who preceded her in death. At the age of seven, she immigrated to the United States, where she built a life grounded in faith, perseverance, and devotion to family and others.
A gifted and passionate hairstylist, Rosa served on many state and national boards throughout her career. She proudly owned and operated her own salon for many years. More than a profession, her work was a ministry of care—helping others feel beautiful, confident, and seen.
Lovingly known as "Mom" by many, Rosa naturally embraced a motherly role to countless people. Her heart was generous, her presence comforting, and her love unconditional.
Rosa shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Anthony Carlino, and together they later moved to The Villages, Florida, where they enjoyed community, laughter, and the simple joys of life.
She is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Carlino; her daughter Lisa Tamez (Luis), her son Carl Carlino (Debbie) her brother Frank Panvino (Karen), her sister Angela Pohl, her cherished grandchildren Desiree Lozada (Sam), Alex Curry (Vinnie), Tiffany Carlino, Carina Carlino, and Rose Carlino; and her adored great-grandchildren Miles, Giovanni, Aubrey, Camilo, and Isabella.
Rosa's life was a reflection of her faith. She trusted deeply in God's promises and lived them through love and service. We commend Rosa to God's loving care, trusting that she now rests in eternal peace.
"Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord." (Matthew 25:23) Rosa was truly a special lady and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
