Sandra Louise Hornsby

Sandy 87 passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025 in Gainesville, Florida

She was the mother of eight children, each of whom was touched in different ways by her life. In her early years, she made difficult choices that separated her from some of her children. In later years, she reconnected with parts of her family and shared new moments with those she could.

Her life was shaped by many challenges, and though not always present, she remains a part of the story of each of her children. Sandra spent many years taking care of the elderly and was also a fine Christian woman actively involved with her church. She loved to fish and work with her plants. Sandra had a big heart and loved her children and grand children  very much.

She is survived by her partner in life Tom Henshaw, her children Ralph Ward JR. , Katy Ridderman, Christine Ward, Barton Ward, Barbara Ward, Clifford Ward, Ralph Zugg, Philip Joseph Zugg, several grandchildren , and great grandchildren

In her memory, the family encourages reflection, healing, and the importance of chosen connection.

A memorial service will be held for Sandy on Sunday October 12th at 3:00 pm at Old Town United Methodist Church, 25633 SE Highway 19, Old Town, FL 32680
