Weldon C. Finley (Papa) of High Springs, Fl, passed away January 24th, 2019 at Lafayette Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mayo, Florida. Mr. Finley was born June 25th, 1925 in Calhoun County, Illinois and was preceded in death by his father, Harry F. Finley, Mother, Alma Smith Nall, and son, Weldon “Buddy” Finley II.
He is survived by his wife Emily Finley of High Springs Fl, daughters Linda (Doug) Roper of Vidalia Ga, Karen (Drew) Gilbert of Tallahassee, Fl, Kay (Mitch) Thomas of High Springs, Fl, and sons Kevin (Cynthia) Finley of Lake Butler, Fl, David (Janis) Parker of Asheville, NC, Louis Parker and Robin Parker, both of High Springs, FL. He has 16 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Finley was a veteran who served in the US Navy during World War II.
He attended the First Baptist Church in High Springs. As the owner of Finley Janitorial & Pool Supply, he loved serving his customers and friends in a 6-county area and had a passion for hunting and fishing.
