William Keith Lane King

William Keith Lane King, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, in Ocala. He was born on June 22, 1947, in Tennessee.

William proudly served his country in the United States Navy before continuing his education and earning his master's degree. He went on to build a distinguished career with the Ocala Star-Banner, where he proudly served as the newspaper's circulation director. His dedication to his work and his community left a lasting impression on those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

William was a man with many passions and a wonderfully curious mind. He intensely loved everything about the University of Tennessee Volunteers and could always be counted among their devoted fans. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, trivia, and football, and his love of learning and keeping his mind sharp was evident in the things he enjoyed most.

William was preceded in death by his beloved wife, who passed away in 2022. Their love and the memories they shared will remain a cherished part of his family's hearts.

He leaves behind many family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory, his sense of humor, his loyalty, and the many special moments they shared with him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
