William Isaac Magee, Jr., age 90, of Old Town, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, at Haven Hospice in Chiefland.
Born in Dayton, Ohio, to William Isaac Magee, Sr. and Janett Hall Magee, William lived a life filled with simple joys, kindness, and a deep appreciation for the people and world around him. Though he did not pursue extensive formal education, William took immense pride in his career as a truck driver for Ford Motor Company. He loved the open road and the sense of independence and accomplishment his work brought him.
William was a man who found happiness in life's little treasures. He was an avid knife collector, known for his meticulous care in keeping each one polished and perfect. Flea markets were among his favorite places to spend time. He enjoyed browsing, bargaining, and, more importantly, striking up conversations with new friends. To William, no one was ever a stranger; he had a gift for making people feel welcome and valued.
In his quiet moments, William enjoyed the familiar comfort of watching Perry Mason, a show that brought him both entertainment and relaxation through the years.
Above all, William's life was marked by his warmth, friendliness, and the ease with which he connected with others. His legacy lives on through his granddaughter, Theresa Schatz of Caldwell, Idaho, who carries forward his love and memory.
William Isaac Magee will be remembered as a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and never let a smile pass him by. His gentle spirit will be dearly missed.
